Fees
Two numbers, both written down. Stripe charges what Stripe charges and you can read it on your own Stripe statement. We add 0.4% and one cent per payment. That is all we take from a direct sale. On orders that come from the Shoppi marketplace our share is 10% of the product value (shipping excluded), instead of the 0.4% + 1c.

Worked all the way through, with the account fee separated out because it is not a per-sale cost.
The sale
€40.00
One customer, one card, tapped at your counter.
To Stripe
Their rate
Charged directly by Stripe, at the rate published for your country and card type.
To us
€0.17
0.4% of €40 is 16c, plus one cent. That is our entire share of this sale.
Separately
€5 / month
The account fee, for up to 30 card payments a month. Starter, at €29, has no limit.
The percentage is flat, so the cent matters most on small tickets. Here it is spelled out rather than averaged.
Stripe's own processing fee is charged on top of these figures and is not included in the effective rate column.
Why it is split
Most providers quote one number that covers the network, the processor and their own margin. It is simpler to print and impossible to audit. We show the two parts separately so you can check ours against your Stripe statement any month you feel like it.
Set by Stripe
Not by us
Country, card type and payment method decide it. We have no hand in that number and no share of it.
Set by us
0.4% + 1c
The same in person and on your own online orders. It does not rise with volume or fall with negotiation. On orders the Shoppi marketplace brings you, our share is 10% of the product value, shipping excluded, instead of the 0.4% + 1c. Stripe’s fee applies to every card payment.
Never taken
Everything else
No PCI fee, no statement fee, no chargeback handling fee, no minimum monthly charge.
Stripe may apply additional fees for specific payment methods, currency conversion or disputes. Those are Stripe’s, published by Stripe, and visible in your dashboard.
Five euros a month, per shop, billed monthly. It buys a supported account rather than a no-fee account subsidised somewhere else. With the POS app it covers up to 30 card payments a month; above that, Starter at €29 a month has no limit.
The POS app on unlimited devices, your catalogue, the list of card payments and payouts, and the ability to get paid.
A separate website (from the €29 Starter plan) and the add-ons, such as the Social Catalog Importer or the Shared Catalogue, bought once from Starter up (some need Business). Delivery connectors are in development. Basic import from CSV, a product feed or WooCommerce is included, and imported catalogues can refresh on a schedule: every 15 days on Starter, every 3 days on Business.
Because an account with no monthly fee gets paid for in the transaction rate. We would rather charge five euros and keep our cut at 0.4% and a cent.
See what the upgrades cost — each one is priced on its own and paid once, not every month.
You buy the reader outright at the listed price. There is no financing, no rental and no markup applied later.
No, and it does not get worse either. 0.4% + 1c is the rate at every volume, which is why we can print it here.
The customer gets the refunded amount back on their card.
Disputes are handled through Stripe under Stripe’s terms. We do not add a handling fee on top.
Our share is the same 0.4% + 1c. Stripe’s own rate for card-not-present payments is higher than for in-person, and that difference is theirs, not ours.
Compare any month’s Shoppi invoice against the payment volume in your Stripe dashboard. The arithmetic is 0.4% of volume plus a cent per transaction.
Buy a reader, add the account, and the only thing that varies is Stripe’s published rate.
