Food and drink
Bars, food trucks and kiosks sell forty things, fast, to a queue that can see you. What matters is how few taps a round takes and whether the card machine argues. Table maps and course timing are not what we do — the till is.

What the job actually asks of a till, before anyone talks about features.
A grid of your actual menu, one tap per item, tap to pay. No searching, no scrolling through categories you do not use.
Ring up each round from your product list and charge it on the spot. At the table you take payment from your phone, with Tap to Pay on Android or a Bluetooth reader.
Coffee and a pastry at a special price, the sandwich of the day on offer — set on the product in the catalogue rather than remembered down the counter.
Card payments day by day, with who took each one, your Stripe balance and payout timing, before you lock the shutter.
A Stripe Reader T600 on the counter, a phone or a reader for the terrace or the queue outside.
Free shipping when you buy hardware with the plan. Compare the readers.
What it costs
Hospitality POS is usually sold per terminal, per month, with a hardware lease on top. A truck with two points of sale should not be paying twice for the same software.
Account
€5 / month
Covers the counter reader, the Bluetooth reader and the owner’s phone. Not charged per till. The €5 plan covers up to 30 card payments a month per location.
Per payment
0.4% + 1c
On top of Stripe’s rate. Small tickets are where the flat cent matters — it is one cent, not fifteen.
Stripe rates vary by country, card type and payment method. The 0.4% + 1c does not change, and neither does the €5.
Trucks and kiosks tend to want the location tools before anything else.

No. Each round is charged when it is served: open tabs, splitting the bill, table maps, course timing and kitchen display screens are not part of the app. If you need those, a hospitality-specific POS will serve you better and we would rather say so.
Four taps and a tap to pay, on a menu grid you lay out yourself.
No. The app does not print receipts or kitchen tickets; customers get a digital receipt, a Stripe receipt link or a QR code.
On mobile data, yes. Card payments need a connection, and phone data is enough; when the signal drops, orders you key in are saved on the device and sync when it returns.
A Bluetooth reader pairs with your phone, or Tap to Pay on Android needs no reader at all. Add the shop kit when the pitch becomes permanent.
