Your first day
Six steps, most of them under five minutes. The longest part is Stripe verifying who you are, and you can do that before the reader even arrives.
You pay the €5 a month when you create the account. The POS app is included in the plan.
Always the same deal
€5 a month, up to 30 card payments

The reader is yours, bought once
Free shipping with a plan
In order. You can do one to three while you wait for the courier.
01
2 minutes
Email, business name, country, then the €5 monthly subscription. The POS app is included.
02
5–10 minutes
Identity and bank details through Stripe Connect. Have a photo ID and your account number to hand.
03
10 minutes
Import a spreadsheet, or type in the twenty things you actually sell; each product can carry its barcode (EAN) number. You can refine it later.
04
2 minutes
On your phone or tablet. Sign in with the same account on every device.
05
1 minute
Bluetooth for the Reader M2 or WisePad 3: the app asks for Bluetooth and location permission and lists nearby readers. Pick yours.
06
1 minute
Charge yourself a euro and refund it. Then sell to somebody real.
Before the box arrives
Verification is the only step with somebody else in the loop. Start it the day you order and the reader will be the last thing you are waiting on.
What Stripe asks for
ID and a bank account
A photo ID, your business details and the account you want paying out to. Requirements vary by country.
How long it takes
Usually minutes
Entering your details usually takes a few minutes, then Stripe completes verification. Some accounts are reviewed manually, which can take a day or two.
What you can do meanwhile
Build the catalogue
Products, prices and quantities can all go in before a reader has ever been paired.
Two ways, depending on what you already have written down.
Fastest
Names, prices, codes (SKU or barcode) and quantities in columns. Export from whatever you use now and import it whole.
Simplest
Twenty items takes ten minutes. Plenty of stalls never need more than that, and you can add as you go.
Once Stripe has completed verification and the reader has arrived, yes. Shoppi opens your Stripe account under Stripe Connect; you enter your details and bank account in Stripe's form, usually in a few minutes.
Requirements come from Stripe and vary by country. Sole traders are accepted in most markets.
Stripe will tell you what it needs. You can keep building the catalogue in the meantime — nothing else is blocked.
When you create the account: the subscription starts at signup and includes the POS app. It is not tied to your first sale.
This page walks you through setup step by step, and you can open a support request at shoppi.support. If you can use a phone, the app will not trouble you.
Order the shop kit and you get the Stripe Reader T600, the Hub and a code to redeem 12 months of Starter. Everything else is self-serve.
Then the only thing between you and a first payment is a courier.
