Market stalls and fairs
You trade in a different postcode every weekend, you set up in twenty minutes and you pack down in ten. What you need is a reader that charges off a power bank, one catalogue shared by both stands, and takings you can read on the drive home.
Always the same deal
€5 a month, up to 30 card payments
0.4% + 1c on top of Stripe
The reader is yours, bought once
Free shipping with a plan
What the job actually asks of a till, before anyone talks about features.
No cables to run and no router to find. The reader pairs to the phone already in your pocket and you are trading.
Both phones sell from the same catalogue, and every card payment shows who took it.
Card payments need a signal, but phone data is enough. When the field drops out, orders you key in are saved on the phone and sync when it comes back.
Cash sales go through the app too, so the day’s total is the day’s total rather than two half-records.
Almost always the cheap one, or no reader at all if your Android phone has NFC.
Free shipping when you buy hardware with the plan. Compare the readers.
What it costs
A market stall is the cheapest counter there is to run, so the software should not be the expensive part of it.
Hardware
€79
The Reader M2, bought outright. It is yours whether or not you keep the account.
Account
€5 / month
The app, your product catalogue on every phone and the day’s card payments.
Per payment
0.4% + 1c
On top of Stripe’s published rate. The same on a €4 coffee and a €400 commission.
Stripe rates vary by country, card type and payment method. The 0.4% + 1c does not change, and neither does the €5.
Not on day one. The marketplace listing already comes with the €5 plan; the website starts at €29, and add-ons are paid once and stay on your account.
In the €5 plan
Your listing on the Shoppi marketplace, so people searching nearby can find your products. Update the address on your page when you move.
Upgrade
A separate website for professionals, from the €29 plan: sell the same catalogue between markets without re-keying it. The AI site editor is included: describe a change, the AI prepares it, you see the changed lines and apply or undo it.
Upgrade
A digital receipt by QR to save or share, offers on your products and sponsored campaigns that show your stall to Shoppi customers nearby.
See what each upgrade costs. None of them are needed to take a payment.
On your phone’s mobile data, yes. Card payments need a signal; when it drops, orders you key in are saved on the phone and sync once it returns.
Yes, and you should. Add as many phones as you need: they share one catalogue, and the day’s card payments are listed together with who took each one.
A full trading day. Take a power bank for a three-day fair and charge it overnight.
No. Customers get a digital receipt: a Stripe receipt link or a QR code they can save or share.
Cancel in any month, with no penalties: the plan stays active to the end of the month already paid. The reader stays yours, and your card payment history stays in your Stripe account.
A WisePad 3 and an account is a working till for seventy-nine euros and change.
